The Methodist Preschool Teachers Workshop Committee will be hosting a Preschool Teachers Workshop Friday November 8, 2013 at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex.

A dedication ceremony to name the Gerard Cace Kitchen will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012, at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center, 100 Grand Blvd.

The St. Mary's Catholic Church will be hosting their Annual Wunderfall event Saturday September 14, 2013 from 6:30pm - 12:00am.

The Longview Rodeo Arena at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex is opening following a major renovation project. A ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 12.

City of Longview offices will be closed Friday, April 6 in observance of Good Friday. All City offices will resume regular business hours Monday, April 9.

The Freedom Celebration and Fireworks Festival will be held in Longview on Monday, July 4, 2011. The fireworks display will begin at dark on the grounds of the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex, 100 Grand Blvd.

The City of Longview will be having a job fair showcasing each department on Tuesday, April 26th at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

On Wednesday, November 24,  the day before Thanksgiving, Longview Transit will end bus service early at 12:15 p.m. Bus service will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and will resume on Friday, November 26.
