Longview Participates in Drinking Water Week May 6-12
(Longview, TX) In recognition of the American Water Works Association’s “Drinking Water Week,” the Longview Water Utilities Department is promoting the message “Water.Celebrate the Essential.” From May 6 – 12, residents are encouraged to learn about the importance of the safe and reliable water supply available in Longview.
The City of Longview Water Department has been recognized for great tasting water on numerous occasions by the Texas Water Utilities Association. Longview’s water has won several regional and state awards, including selection as the “Best in Texas" winner on four occasions.
According to Customer Service Manager Willie Marshall, “we deliver a high quality product at one of the lowest prices in the state. We are fortunate to have an abundant water supply that attracts industry, assist fire protection services, and provides for the health and welfare of our citizens.”
Throughout the week, the water department will be distributing information about Longview’s water quality, water conservation tips, toilet leak detector kits, and other useful consumer information. In addition, residents will be encouraged to learn about available payment options such as online payment, over the phone payment, automatic bank draft, and a Spanish language payment option, authorized payment locations around the city.
