The City of Longview offers recycling of natural Christmas trees. Trees may be taken to the City of Longview Compost Site at 2020 Swinging Bridge Rd. or set out curbside with other yard waste.
- Allow 4 feet between the tree and the trash and recycling carts.
- No flocked trees
- Remove any stands
- Remove tinsel or other ornamentation. Trees with such ornamentation will not be taken.
- Artificial trees will not be taken.
As a reminder, throughout the year, Longview residents may drop off yard waste, including limbs, brush, leaves, grass clippings and pine straw at the Compost Site. The mulch and compost that is produced is available at no charge to Longview residents with proof of residency such as a driver's license or water bill. Compost Site regular hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
