How to Become a Mentor

It is a simple process to become a mentor. 

  • Contact Partners in Prevention at 903­-237­-1019 
  • Schedule an interview 
  • Register for training and receive an information packet
  • Attend a 2­.5 hour training 
  • Complete an application form, which will include information needed to conduct a criminal history background check. 
  • Once your criminal history is cleared, then you will be matched with a child in need of a mentor. 
  • Mentors are asked to attend three periodic update training sessions throughout the year.
