OverDrive:

eBooks & eAudiobooks of popular nonfiction and fiction titles for readers of all ages.

You will need an active Longview Public Library Card and a password.
To reset your password, please come in to the Front Desk.

OverDrive

General instructions:


For most devices, you will need to download the OverDrive Media Console app.
You can check out up to 5 books for 14 days. Titles can be renewed, as long there are no holds on the title.

Getting Started With OverDrive:


  1. Click on the OverDrive logo above to access the Northeast Texas Digital Consortium catalog.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Select Longview Public Library from the drop down menu.
  4. Sign in using your Longview Public Library borrower’s card number (without the spaces) and your pin/password.
  5. Browse for a title you would like to check out. The icon in the upper right hand of the cover, a book for text format and headphones for audiobook, will be black is available and gray if checked out.
  6. Click on the cover for more information or to check out that book.
  7. Once you’ve made a choice, click on “Borrow.” *If the book is checked out, you can select “Add to your Wish List" or "Place a Hold".
  8. Click Download and select the appropriate format.
  9. Click Confirm & Download.

 Our new eBook and eAudiobook service that will allow you access to over 170,000+ FREE titles with your library card or online access card! Customize your CloudLibrary to fit your preferences, while keeping multiple accounts organized in one place on your device!

All you’ll need is your valid Library Card number/barcode, and the password/PIN number for your Library Card!

To Create An Account:

• Download the CloudLibrary account to your device.
• Follow along with the simple signup process.
• Enter your library card number and PIN password when prompted.
• Start exploring the home screen, browse and download titles, and customize your CloudLibrary account.
It's that easy!

Using CloudLibrary On Mobile Devices:

You will need to download the FREE CloudLibrary Digital app
Find the app and download it from an app store according to your device:

Checkout Limits:

Customers are currently limited to a checkout total of 5 items per card/account.
eBooks & eAudiobooks checkout for 3 weeks.

• Returning a title will free up a slot for a new download.

• Titles can be checked out as many times as you'd like, as long as there are no pending holds on the item.
• Titles can be streamed from your device using WiFi connection, or downloaded to device for use when not on WiFi. Downloaded titles are subject to the available storage space of your device.

CloudLibrary from the computer: 

You can use CloudLibrary from your desktop computer (Windows & Mac).
Find instructions and downloads on the CloudLibrary help site: YourCloudLibrary, and from the top right menu, choose "Get the App" and select Windows or Mac. Follow the instructions provided. 
Please note:
• eAudiobooks can only be streamed from desktop computers and not downloaded and listened to offline. They cannot be transferred to separate MP3 players.
• eBooks can be transferred to your personal eReader or device after downloading it on your desktop. Connect your device to the desktop. Open the mobile CloudLibrary app on your device. Go to "My Books" tab. You will see a green button to transfer appear on each book you have checked out that says "Download to Device." Click this to transfer a copy of the eBook to your eReader.

  1. Click on the EBSCOhost logo above to browse their eBook catalog. 
  2. Create a My EBSCOhost account 
  3. Install Adobe® Digital Editions 
  4. Click on the desired title
  5. Click “Download This eBook (Offline)
  6. Click Download
