Pet Food Bank

LACAC Donate Dog Food BagLongview Community Ministries’ Food Box recipients may request a bag of dog or cat food once a month due to a new collaboration between Longview Community Ministries and Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center’s non-profit, PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving). LCM began storing and distributing pet food in July 2019, and it has proven to be a much needed service. Longview residents who qualify for food assistance through LCM’s Food Box program may request a bag of dog or cat food once a month.

The donations can help a family keep and provide for their pets and limit animals surrendered to the shelter or abandoned.

The public may drop off donations of any size pet foods at the LCM Food Box during the hours of operation from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Pet Food Bank program is administered by Longview Community Ministries.
