Brian Harris has been in law enforcement for 31 years. He worked a large volume of homicide investigation for 21 years. He holds a Master degree in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University with an undergraduate degree in Law Enforcement and Police Science from Sam Houston State University. He has been featured in Time magazine, ABC’s 20/20 and Primetime, the History Channel, Fox News Channel, 48 Hours, Forensic File and numerous local stations. Harris has trained thousands of law enforcement officer nationally and internationally in Interviewing and Interrogation training, Advanced Interviewing, The Basic Investigator’s School, and Child Death School. Harris has taught at the FBI Training Academy and is the training coordinator for the Homicide Investigator’s of Texas.
P.R.I.M.E. T.I.M.E. Interviewing and Interogation Course

This session will provide an in-depth look at the P.R.I.M.E. T.I.M.E. interview techniques utilized when questioning witnesses and suspects. This training includes room set-up, rapport building, learning theme development, body language, interview plotting and a host of other tools. Attendees will participate in an interactive training with current confession clips and class exercises that will
provide useful tools and build confidence needed in the interview room. The investigator or detective who is not proficient in this skill is as handicapped as a surgeon who cannot use a scalpel. The professional interrogator requires a substantial amount of knowledge to develop his\her art, an appreciation of the human condition, and the society in which we live, an in-depth awareness of the psychology of human behavior, a mastery of criminal investigation procedures and principles; an understanding of the criminal statutes, and expertise in the operation of the jurisprudence system.
Harris currently serves as the Chief Deputy for a department of 400 - Pct. 5 Harris County. He oversees patrol, investigations, traffic, and parks, serving a population of 1.2 million people in the precinct. Chief Harris will also be the homicide consultant and appearing on the Netflix series “Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer: Season 2” set to air in 2019.
