The members of the Longview Police Department are holding a meal fundraiser for one of its own on Thursday November 16, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Maude Cobb Convention Center. Damon Weaver, of Beckville, works for the department as an Information and Technology Systems Specialist and is fighting stage 4 cancer. He has served the department for 7 years. He served the county in the United States Marine Corp in the early 90's. Longview PD will be hosting a hot dog meal for a $10 donation to raise money for medical and necessity expenses as the "Team Weaver" battles this life challenge.
