Longview Fire Department is hiring an EMS Billing Specialist.
The EMS Billing Specialist plans and coordinates the Fire Department's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) billing function; conducts a variety of technical and administrative billing functions; provides customer service to patients; responds to and resolves billing inquiries and complaints; processes, coordinates, researches and verifies ambulance billing and related activities. Prepares various types of billing records and reports; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements are a High School Diploma or equivalent, and three years medical billing/coding experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicant must possess a valid Texas Driver's License. Physical Demands/Work Environment Work is performed in a standard office environment. Subject to sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
