The City of Longview, Partners in Prevention’s Longview Bridges Out of Poverty Committee has launched the “Fill the Box” campaign. The committee is seeking individual sized, non perishable food items and socks to be distributed to those in need. Suggested items include: bottled water, snack crackers, dried fruit, granola or cereal bars, nuts, pull top canned food, and juice.
Donations may be dropped off from October 24 through November 9, 2018, Monday– Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Partners in Prevention, 140 E. Tyler St., 4th Floor and Longview City Hall, 300 W. Cotton St.; or seven days a week at the Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St. Items will be distributed to individuals along with resource information of where to seek help for food, shelter, or other basic need services.
