The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs will hold a Public Hearing for the Draft State of Texas Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice in the Eitelman Conference Room at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to solicit comment on the Draft State of Texas Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. The Analysis of Impediments (AI) to Fair Housing Choice is a process that recipients of grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), such as states, local governments, and public housing agencies, undertake as part of their obligation to affirmatively further fair housing (AFFH) under the Fair Housing Act. The Hearing will start at 4:00 p.m. and run until 4:30 p.m., or until the conclusion of public comment. There is no cost to attend.
