The 16th Annual Unity Honors Luncheon will take place at Maude Cobb Convention Center on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The Unity Honors is a lifetime achievement award, given by the Longview Partners in Prevention’s Unity and Diversity Committee, that recognizes people who have demonstrated leadership in promoting harmony, understanding, and social justice in the community. The 2020 honorees are Sally Gossett Barron and Johnnie Johnson. Special Recognition Awards will also be presented to Longview Community Ministries and Newgate Mission for their outstanding commitment to the community as they foster diverse relationships and provide services to all residents. Tickets are $20 each and are available at the following locations: Partners in Prevention office located on the 4th floor at 140 E. Tyler Street, Longview Public Library, Broughton Recreation Center, and online at All tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold or available on the day of the luncheon.
