Jack Mann Splash Pad Completion

Jack Mann Splash Pad

New water features and pavilions have been added to the Jack Mann Splash Pad, marking the first completed project of Longview’s 2018 bond election. To celebrate the completion of the project, the Longview Parks and Recreation Department will provide discount specials at the Jack Mann Splash Pad concession stand while supplies last on Saturday, August 17, and Sunday, August 18. Discount specials include nachos for only $1, plus free drink and specialty ice cream bar with minimum $2 purchase.

The Jack Mann Splash Pad, the largest of the city’s splash pads, is located within Lear Park, 100 H.G. Mosley Pkwy. Admission to the facility is free and is open 6 days per week (closed Wednesdays) during the spring, summer, and fall, from 9:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. Pavilions can be rented for parties for a fee.

The new water features and pavilions were funded by the November 2018 City of Longview bond election. The first phase of the Jack Mann Splash Pad originally opened in 2012 with funding provided by the city budget and community donations. Among the original donors for the park was the Made-Rite Company of Longview, in recognition of the late owner Jack Mann.  Made-Rite will be providing some of the product given away during the celebration on Saturday and Sunday.
