Downtown Longview will host its second Wine Swirl on Tyler Street from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. The event brings wineries from across Texas to Downtown Longview to provide wine tastings and meet new potential customers. The Wine Swirl also includes art vendors, food trucks and music playing throughout the event area.
Wineries and vendors will be spread throughout Tyler Street between Green Street and High Street. Wheel House will be performing at Pelaia Plaza and Kaitlin McCullin will perform on Center Street beside Silver Grizzly Espresso.
The first Wine Swirl was held in 2019, but the event was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
“We had to bring it back. The community seemed to love the event and the funds from this event allowed us to keep offering grants to our local downtown businesses,” said Nickolas Mayfield, Main Street coordinator for Downtown Longview.
The Downtown Longview Board manages all proceeds from the Wine Swirl. Through past fundraising efforts, the board has been able to make major improvements to Heritage Plaza including constructing a great stage for our performers, upgrading electrical infrastructure and buying a giant Christmas tree for our community to enjoy for years to come.
VIP and general admission tickets to the Wine Swirl are available at VisitLongviewTexas.com/WineSwirl. Use code enjoytheview for 25 percent off general admission.
