[ARCHIVED] Longview PAWS Invites Community to Paddle for PAWS

Paddle for PAWS

Paddle for PAWS, a unique fundraiser benefiting the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, will be held Saturday, Sept. 17. This one-of-a-kind outing is hosted by Longview PAWS and presented by Peters Chevrolet. Participants will hop in a kayak, canoe, or standup paddleboard (SUP) at the breathtaking 18-acre lake on Rowdy Creek Ranch Winery in Gilmer, Texas. 

Registration is required on-line at Registration is $30 and includes a 2022 Paddle for PAWS Event t-shirt. Participants may bring their own equipment at no additional charge or rent one. Equipment rentals are not included in the registration cost but can be added during registration for an additional $20 fee.

Don't want to float? That's no problem. All are welcome to come and enjoy the day. Rowdy Creek Ranch will be offering food and drink for purchase and live music to keep the party going. Local vendors supporting our "life's an adventure" concept will be on-hand showcasing their products. 

All proceeds from this event will go towards continuing our Heartworm Treatment program benefiting the shelter dogs of LACAC. Heartworms are preventable and treatable and should not be the deterrent in any dog’s adoptability.
