Update on Officer Solomon

Police News Station

Besides being a police officer, Larry Solomon is also a Marine, so all he knows is how to fight for what he believes in.  Until recently that fight has been for his country while in the Marines, and his community as a Longview Police Officer.  However, that fight is now more personal than ever.

As you are aware, Officer Solomon had heart surgery in mid-October.  A mass located near his heart during that surgery was sent off and the pathology report had disturbing results.  Unfortunately, it has been determined that Officer Solomon has angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.  Officer Solomon has already begun treatment to fight this disease.

Officer Solomon sent a message to the entire police department the other day, and he ended with this, “I’m never out of the fight and will continue to fight this thing. Thank you for all that you do! Enjoy your lives, be kind to people, and make memories with your family and loved ones.”

We plan to be in this fight with Officer Solomon and his family.  We are currently working on the means to help support him and his family as Officer Solomon receives treatment and any necessary travel related to his health.  Please continue to watch as we post these opportunities in the near future.
