Longview Parks and Recreation Department would like to congratulate the Miracle League of East Texas on receiving a $10,000 gift from the Texas Rangers baseball organization. This donation is for the ballpark in Longview’s Lear Park and helps serve children of all needs or physical challenges.
Members of the Texas Rangers baseball organization will be in Longview on Monday, January 25th, to present the $10,000 check. The event is set for 3-4pm at Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton.
Rangers’ players, Shawn Tolleson and Ryan Rua and radio announcer Matt Hicks will be on hand to meet and sign autographs for dozens of children who will benefit from the ball park.
