On February 2, 2016 at 11:22 p.m., Longview Police were dispatched to a Robbery Just Occurred in the 3300 Block of South Eastman Road. When Police arrived they were told a suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. Several minutes later officers located a person matching the description of the robber on Swancey Street. The suspect was positively identified as the man who robbed the store minutes earlier. The suspect, identified as 35 year-old Kenneth Dewayne “Frog” McGee of Longview, was arrested for Aggravated Robbery. Police were able to determine that McGee was also the suspect in a robbery several hours earlier at another convenience store located in the 3600 Block Gilmer Road. McGee was then charged with another case of Aggravated Robbery and transported to the Gregg County Jail without incident.
