On February 2, 2016 at 11:22 p.m., Longview Police were dispatched to a Robbery Just Occurred in the 3300 Block of South Eastman Road. When Police arrived they were told a suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. Several minutes later officers located a person matching the description of the robber on Swancey Street. The suspect was positively identified as the man who robbed the store minutes earlier. The suspect, identified as 35 year-old Kenneth Dewayne “Frog” McGee of Longview, was arrested for Aggravated Robbery. Police were able to determine that McGee was also the suspect in a robbery several hours earlier at another convenience store located in the 3600 Block Gilmer Road.
