On Dec. 3, 2022 at approximately 1 a.m. the Longview Fire Department responded to 2500 N. Eastman Road, Huntington Hills Apartments, for a reported residential structure fire.  When crews arrived they found heavy smoke conditions coming from the 2 story apartment building.  Fire crews made entry into a second floor apartment unit and discovered the fire was in the wall that separated two of the units and had already progressed into the attic.  It took approximately 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.  An estimated $200,000 in damage was done by the fire.  There were no reported injuries and multiple families were displaced due to the fire.  Those families are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The Longview Fire Department responded with 4 fire engines, 2 ladder trucks, 1 ambulance and 4 support vehicles for a total of 24 personnel.
