Love Longview Day of Serving Set for April 1

COL News Blue

Keep Longview Beautiful will host Love Longview, a day of serving, on Saturday, April 1.  Love Longview is a community-wide initiative that encourages all residents to work together on one day to make a significant impact in Longview.

Like last year, projects will take place across the community during the day, but special focus will be given to a neighborhood identified by the Longview Police Department for their Project 365 campaign.

Project 365 is an offshoot of the City’s National Night Out event where the Longview Police Department identifies one neighborhood for special attention throughout the year.  This year, the neighborhood designated for Project 365 is bordered by Marshall Avenue (South), Eastman Road (East), and Alpine Road (North and West).

In addition to service projects associated with Love Longview, the City’s sanitation division has planned an Electronic (“E-Waste”) Recycling Event, which will also be held April 1 from 8 a.m. to noon at Teague Park.

Those seeking more information or interested in participating should visit LoveLongview.com.
