The City of Longview Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is hosting the 2016 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Boys' Youth State Basketball Tournament March 19 and 20. Check the Latest Bracket Info

Approximately 70 teams from across the state will be competing for state titles with games slated to begin Saturday morning and end with championship games Sunday afternoon. Cities represented include Arlington, Fort Worth, DeSoto, Waco, Texas City, League City, Round Rock, San Angelo, Aubrey, Azle, Cedar Hill, Copperas Cove Haltom City, Lake Worth, Little Elm, Southlake, Grapevine, The Colony, Watauga and Water Valley. Longview has seven local teams participating.

Teams will compete in 10 divisions: 8-Under Division 1, 2 and 3; 10-Under Divisions 1,2 and 3; 12-Under Divisions 1,2 and 3; and 14-Under.

Festivities begin Friday at the Longview Exhibit Building with coaches' check-in from 2-4 p.m. followed with a coaches' meeting at 4:30 p.m. and a pizza social for the teams from 5-8 p.m.

Games will take played at LeTourneau University's Solheim Arena and Belcher Gym; Trinity School of Texas, Pine Tree's Jr. High Gym, First Baptist Church's ROC, Longview ISD's Forest Park and Foster Middle School Gyms.

No gate fees will be charged at the gyms, and schedules can be viewed at TeamSideline.com/TAAF.
