The 13th Annual Unity Honors Luncheon will take place at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The Unity Honors is a lifetime achievement award, given by the Longview Partners in Prevention's Unity and Diversity Committee, that recognizes people who have demonstrated leadership in promoting harmony, understanding, and social justice in the community. Evalonia Barrett-Bolton and the Honorable Judge Bill Stoudt are the recipients of the 2017 Unity Award. In addition, Habitat for Humanity of Longview and MyView will each receive service honor awards that gives special recognition to schools, businesses or organizations that have done outstanding work within the past year, while promoting diversity, unity and creating a cooperative spirit in encouraging and mobilizing change for the greater good of the community. Tickets for the luncheon are $15 each and may be purchased in advance at one of the following locations in Longview: Partners in Prevention, 140 E. Tyler St., Suite 400; Divine Catering, 1310 S. Mobberly Ave.; Barron's Bookstore, 405 W. Loop 281; Longview ISD Administration Office, 1301 E. Young St.; and Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold or available on the day of the luncheon.
