National Night Out.jpg

Longview's National Night Out festivities will kickoff at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. This will be the 26th year the City of Longview has participated in the awareness campaign against crime. This year’s theme is You + Blue = One Longview. Participants are encouraged to wear blue in support of the local community and the great relationship they have with local law enforcement. The kick-off event will feature child ID, emergency vehicle displays, vendor booths, and other fun activities for the entire family. Food will be served to the first 350 attendees. The Kickoff event is also an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in hosting a National Night Out party on October 4th to get additional information and speak with other neighborhood watch groups, apartment complex representatives, city officials, Longview Police officers, and Gregg County Sheriff’s deputies. To register your National Night Out party, please contact Partners in Prevention at 903-237-1019, or visit www.LongviewTexas.gov/NNO. For additional information please contact, Sekettia Brantley at 903-239-5503, Sgt. Jacky Hiles at 903-452-3522, or program coordinator Officer Chris Clayton, via email cclayton@longviewtexas.gov.
