(Longview, TX) The City of Longview Partners in Prevention’s Mentoring Advisory Council and Friends of Partners in Prevention are sponsoring the Sixth Annual Drive to Inspire Golf Challenge benefitting the Partners in Prevention Mentoring Program. Shotgun start will be on June 24 at 1:30 p.m. at Wood Hollow Golf Course, 5121 McCann Road in Longview. Registration deadline for the four-person scramble is June 23rd. The cost is $75 per player/$300 per team. Sponsorship opportunities are available now at $350, $500 and $1,000 levels. Johnny Medrano, Co-chair of the Drive to Inspire Golf Challenge, states, “Partners in Prevention Mentoring Program is currently providing 172 young people with one-to-one caring adult mentors. All proceeds go toward the mentoring program serving students in Longview, Pine Tree, Spring Hill, Kilgore, and Hallsville Independent School Districts. Even if you are not a golfer, donations can be made at www.FriendsofPIP.com, then click “Donate 200 for 200” to help support the mentoring program. Donations can be made in any dollar amount from $1 to $200 in our goal to serve 200 young people.”
In memory of past mentor, Jan Redd, Partners in Prevention will give special recognition to the Jann Redd Future Stories Memorial at the gold challenge at 5:30 p.m.
