On August 8, 2016 at 2:38 p.m., Longview Police were dispatched to a Check Welfare in the area of South Green Street and Bostic Drive. When officers arrived they found the body of a Hispanic male in the field. Police are beginning their investigation at this time. Police have identified the deceased as 60 year-old Juan Garcia, of Longview. He is believed to have died from natural causes according to the autopsy.
