IMG_0391.jpg

As result of a public private partnership between the City of Longview and the nonprofit, Veterans Recognition Foundation, Longview's Teague Park is now home to a Veterans Plaza honoring the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families. Located on approximately 2 acres surrounding the Teague Park pond, the plaza features unique individual monuments honoring all veterans as well as a scale replica of the Vietnam Wall. Other monuments include memorials for 9/11, MIA/POWs, and conflicts in places such as Iwo Jima, Korea, Grenada, Iraq, Panama, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Bosnia.

The plaza was constructed thanks to fundraising efforts led by the Veterans Recognition Foundation. The nonprofit 501(c)3 organization continues to seek donations to pay for plaza construction and future projects. To make a donation, please visit the Veterans Recognition Foundation website using the link below.
