The City of Longview will hold the 4th of July Fireworks and Freedom Celebration at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex on Monday, July 4, 2016. There will be activities throughout the day, including amusement rides, a hot dog eating contest, Simon Says, numerous children’s activities, a variety of entertainment, including free concerts by The Hall Brothers, Walker McGuire, Asleep at the Wheel and other musical acts, food and beverages, vendors in the Exhibit Building, a Patriotic Pup Fashion Show and Hot Dog Races, Tutus and Troops Children's Pageant, Car Show and Motorcycle Parade, Texas Star Rescue Dog Adoption Trailer, and much more! The festival opens at 11:00 a.m. and the day’s activities will be topped off with a spectacular firework display that will start at 9:30 p.m. Festival admission, parking and the firework show are free to the public; however, prices will vary for individual activities. No BYOB or outside coolers allowed. The 4th of July Fireworks and Freedom Celebration is sponsored by the City of Longview and several other community sponsors.
