    ARTS!Longview and the Cultural Arts District Task Force invite you to attend a Special Town Hall Meeting focused on obtaining a wide variety of feedback to guide the development of the Cultural Arts District Application being prepared for submission to the Texas Commission on the Arts in 2019. Your input in vital to not only providing insight into dreams for Longview's proposed Cultural Arts District but to also provide data to the State to indicate community support for our myriad Arts and Cultural opportunities.   1. S.T.E.P. Philosopy Changes/DDACTS

    October 30, 2018, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Longview Police Department Roy Stone Training Center

    This 4 hour class is a must for all new S.T.E.P. agencies, agencies that have not been exposed to the new philosophy and all new Police Officers. This presentation was created to introduce the new philosophy of S.T.E.P. using DDACTS. Officers are introduced the term "Social Harm" and it's importance. Officers will learn vehicle stop protocol and how to be professional and effective. Attendees will see the cost associated with traffic crashes. Training Date Opportunities: October 30 and 31, 2018 8A-12P and 1P -5P Longview Police Department Contact Lt. Shane McCarter or Sgt. Chris Clark at 903.237.1199 to schedule a date and time to attend one of the four opportunities. 4 hours of TCOLE credit will be issued to all who attend.
