  1. George Richey Road Community Meeting

    May 14, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Spring Hill High School Library

The City of Longview is seeking community input on what type of development is desired along George Richey Road, the recently completed east-west corridor in north Longview. The meeting is hosted by the City of Longview Development Services and District 5 City Councilman David Wright. During the meeting, city staff will give a short presentation, and then attendees will break out into small groups for discussion. The focus of the meeting will be the undeveloped property spanning both sides of George Richey Road between Gilmer Road and McCann Road. In 2015, the City adopted a long-range strategic planning document for the community called the Longview Comprehensive Plan. That plan provides direction that George Richey Road should not become an outer version of Loop 281, which features nearly continuous retail development. Instead, future land use maps call for a primarily residential development with retail and neighborhood services in concentrated nodes at the key intersections.
