Join us every Saturday morning from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM for LEGOs @ the Library! Children of all ages are welcome to build! Larger Duplo bricks are provided for toddlers. At the end of each session, everyone’s creations are put in the Children's Department's display case until the next LEGOs @ the Library. Feel free to bring your friends and family by to show them what you built! This come-and-go event requires no registration, and you don’t even have to bring your own bricks. We have plenty to share, so just show up in the Children's Department on Saturday morning!

Our paint pour tutorial is back by popular demand! We’ll show you a super easy way to create a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork with supplies you can buy at the store. Ages 18+. In order to get a supply count, registration is required. Please feel free to bring 3-4 different colors of 2oz. acrylic paint tubes if you’d like to work in specific color scheme (contrasting colors recommended for best effect). The annual Martin Luther King Community Wide Celebration and Parade will be held January 18 at 10 a.m.
Registration to participate in the parade will began Dec. 16 and will close January 17. A $10 fee will be required for each entry, and will be collected at Broughton Recreation Center on 801 S. Martin Luther King Blvd., or at the Parks and Recreation office on 130 E. Timpson St.
The route will be begin on Ryder Drive and end at Broughton Recreation Center. Staging for parade participants will begin at 9 a.m. After the parade ends there will be activities, entertainment, and food vendors available. Booth spaces in the Broughton gym will also be available to organizations.
