This class will introduce students to formulas & other Excel tools.. Students will learn about the AutoFill function, formatting text, Sum & AutoSum, Conditional Formatting, Flash Fill, filtering, various chart functions, & Sparklines.
To help celebrate Longview’s 150 Year Sesquicentennial, the Library will be recording patron memories to digitize and put onto our Longview 150 Stories Podcast! These memories will be available online throughout the Sesquicentennial for everyone to enjoy. Head to LongviewTexas.gov/150Stories to find out the exact details. If you don’t have the equipment to record your memories, call (903) 237-1346 to speak with Leah and schedule an appointment to come in and have us help record them for you. Dates to record are January 14, 15, 22, 24, 28, 31. There will be 30 minute time slots between the hours of 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Suggested for children ages 3-5. Young children will enjoy singing along and interacting with Library staff while building their educational foundation! Story time opens with a time of singing beloved childhood songs and nursery rhymes, followed by a newly-published book being read aloud. Children will then enjoy activities and crafts geared towards helping them to imagine, create, and grow! This story time lasts about 30 minutes. Story time begins promptly every Wednesday at 10:30 AM!
After a long day at school, Discovery Kids is a time for children of all ages at the Broughton Recreation Center to gather around and hear books read aloud while enjoying a small after-school snack. Afterward, time is set aside for the children to share their various thoughts and ideas regarding the book. The time frame for the this story time is about 20 minutes every Wednesday at 4:00 PM!
